SAMARA by Bob Tuttle

Quality of life. Isn’t that what we all are looking for?  You’ll find it here in Playa Samara! A Tropical Paradise on the Pacific Coast of a country renowned for it's incredible natural diversity and low cost of living. Mountains that touch the sea, gorgeous beaches that spark the imagination, and an endless variety of lifestyles and activities to enjoy. A treasure waiting for you to discover!

Whether you make our area a permanent home or a part time retreat you’ll find a laid back warm and friendly environment rich in natural beauty and wild untouched places. Without a doubt our area is considered one of the most prime places for Investment in all of Costa Rica and one of the best places to live and spend time! You can even come down and learn Spanish at the Intercultural School right here in town!  Investors will find a real estate market which is robust and a future of growth and appreciation of property values.

The reasons are many, 5 gorgeous beaches, beautiful scenery which resembles a mountain us Caribbean Island, convenience of goods, services and easy access to International airports. Also we have our own airport where you may fly in on Sansa Airlines (a Copa Airlines company) with direct flights to anywhere in Costa Rica, and connections to Nicaragua and Panama. Samara is easily accessible by car on paved roads and located just 1.5 hours south of the International airport in Liberia and a 4.5 hour drive to San Jose. Just a few hours drive away you’ll be able to enjoy a huge variety of places such as Arenal, Irazu, Poas, Turialba and Miravalles Volcanoes, and Monteverde Cloud Forest just to name a few. There are many National Parks close by ,Rincon De La Vieja , Barra Honda Caverns, Las Baulas ,Tenorio and many more as well as Sea Turtle Sanctuaries all along the coast and right here in our at Playa Camaronal and Playa Ostional.

At certain times of year there can literally be thousands of Olive Ridley turtles coming ashore to lay they’re eggs and it is quite a sight to behold.

Other activities such as whitewater rafting, snorkeling, diving, surfing, fishing, mountain biking, canopy tours, trekking, beachcombing and bird watching are also either right here or close by. Samara itself is located in the Guanacaste Province 30 minutes from Nicoya which is the second largest town in the Nicoya Peninsula. There you will find goods and services of all kinds, shopping and plenty of restaurants and it’s fun to go make an afternoon of lunch and shopping. No matter what your taste we have plenty of good food and accommodations.

A few quaint little cafes and bars on the beach make going to lunch a pleasure. There are so many things I could tell you that make our area so wonderful, but I think it’s summed up best by saying that for each person who seeks, there is a place in the world that they will find special and it just simply feels right. The paradise they always wanted to find but never thought they would.

A place that’s good for the very soul. A lifestyle of pleasure in a place that affords more freedom and far away from the rat race they wish to leave behind. I found mine here in Playa Samara. I’m happy to share it with you. Come visit us you never know what you may find!
